Adding one more rep works, right up until it doesn't. Everyone stalls eventually. IMPOLS is a new way to track training. No sets, reps or weights to enter. Simply pick a muscle, press Start, and lift. Your Apple Watch reads the work while you train.

What keeps building muscle once adding reps stops working is training close to failure, through a full range of motion, with enough real stimulus for the muscle to adapt. That's what IMPOLS measures.
Every set is scored on how your movement changes: speed decaying rep to rep, the last reps dragging, the shake at the end. Those are the signals that show how close to failure you actually got.
Move between exercises in whatever order the session takes you. IMPOLS follows along and never stops you mid-set to fill something in, so a freestyle training session gets recorded properly instead of half-remembered on the drive home.
Barbells, dumbbells, machines, cables or bodyweight. If you move, it gets measured, and measured differently depending on what you're training, since chest, biceps, shoulders and legs each behave differently under load.
A motion algorithm reads each set from your Apple Watch: sets, range of motion, time under tension and heart rate, all picked up while you train. Add IMPOLS to a watch face and start a session with one tap.
Every session feeds a front and back map of your whole body, so you always know what is fresh and what still needs a rest day. Intuitive training works far better when you can see what your body has already done.
Sign in with Apple if you want your training to carry over when you change phone. Everything is measured and stored on your device either way, and the app works fully without an account.
IMPOLS was designed so a freestyle workout never has to stop for a screen.
Open IMPOLS, tap the muscle you're about to train: chest, back, shoulders, arms, abs or legs.
No exercise list, no set counter. Just move. Your Apple Watch reads reps, tempo and range of motion as you go.
Changing exercises mid-session? Swipe muscles and keep training. IMPOLS follows your freestyle exercise, not the other way around.

No. That's the whole idea. IMPOLS is built for freestyle training: pick a muscle, press Start, and lift. Your Apple Watch reads the work while you train, so there's nothing to type mid-set.
An iPhone and an Apple Watch. The Watch reads your motion during a freestyle exercise (reps, range of motion, tempo and time under tension) and syncs it straight to your iPhone.
Yes. Barbells, dumbbells, machines, cables or bodyweight: any freestyle workout works, because IMPOLS measures movement, not a fixed list of exercises.
No. IMPOLS works fully without an account, and everything is measured and stored on your device. Optionally sign in with Apple so your training carries over if you change phone.
IMPOLS is coming soon to iOS. Check back here for the App Store link.
